Just curious, is it worth making the investment?

ive got one on each bank, only tested them powered up as havnt finished build yet, also got both working on the ngauge so i can keep track all the time, before then i just had the single one which is fine also, only went the two as i figured ive spent alot on the build so i want to make sure its all working right, and i have had issues with a lean bank once and it wasnt the WB side so seeing both would have helped diagnosis the issue and how it leaned out where just the factory 02 show lean but not accurately

It would be nice, considering that if you look at STFTs they are sometimes off by ~1-5%, having 8 EGT sensors would also be nice if you have the software/hardware for it, lol.

Yeah, I get the humor 1-5%. haha

It has been a concern not knowing both bank values, I have not been at this for very long like others here on the forum.

I'm currently experimenting tuning open loop for the entire MAF.
just to note if ur halving values in the scanner (like using 2 WB's adding together and then halving it to get bank average) its better to multiply by 0.5 instead of using divide by 2 /2 the divide dosnt always work but the multiply always does just encase u have used divide and it didnt seem right

Thanks, no I'm thinking about wiring in separately.

yes wires separate but just if u want to put them together for fueling adjustments to get the average of both banks in the maths

@kittyboy I meant to say by bank, 1 and 2 will be adding or taking away different %, just threw 1-5% in there as an example. Been thinking about dual WBs as well, just seems like too much work, or I'm just too lazy.

Thanks for the clarification, it's extra work for sure, nothing like constant maintenance and never ending mods! The V continues to be my obsession, seems the more I learn, the more I realize how much I still don't know. I recently purchased a thermal scope to monitor cylinder exhaust temps and would like to compare banks 1 and 2 with dual WBs as well. I consider this my classroom test engine to learn, so there is a lot of fiddling around, much is unnecessary in hind-site. Example, I originally thought you we teasing worrying about 1%-5% STFT variances tuning the MAF. A year ago I was desperately trying to get 1% until I realized it was a big waste of time. (haha)

Currently I log a WB on bank 2, and fuel rail pressure. Using the MPVi2 Pro-Link I'm limited to logging two channels. So I as far as I can tell, I will only be able to visually monitor the second WB and not be able to log it?

thought u were in a canbus vehicle ? i just use 2 of the AEM obd2 WB just link both up then set the value for each and it just puts it in the vehicle data like a normal GM pid then u just pick it up in the hpt scanner and its always there
just like this

Yes, I have a CAN bus. Your right, that's probably the best way to go. I currently use Autometer 'Elite' series type gauges and don't think Autometer has an AEM type OBD2 connector WB kit available similar to AEM. Maybe I could custom build a harness, I'll check. Would be nice to free-up a Pro-Link channel as well.

This is definitely a screen shot image worth saving for the record! ;)

the gauge needs to be able to broadcast on the GM obd as well which the AEM does and it also needs the right channels for HPT to pick it up, it took me a while to configure it so the hpt scanner and the ngauge both see the WB's and at the same time, it cant just be a canbus WB it has to specifically suit the GM obd2

I've been thinking about doing this. Do you have two AEM WB cables plugged into your OBD port and the HPT dongle plugged in last? Do you have the OBD port relocated?

yea ive used a splitter and kept the factory obd port and then behind dash have both WB and ngauge inline then also extra split over to passenger side footwell to connect the hpt module, can't run vehicle yet but all works when powered up

This is a good idea. I have seen relocation kits, but not splitters. I'll get one of these on the way. Which splitter did you buy?

Something like this
Aircraft Automotive lighting Electric blue Space Midnight

or like this?
Wood Font Tints and shades Space Magenta

mine was like the second pic and i got the obd plug and fitted it myself to go back in the original spot, one side of the split off had all the wb and ngauge then other goes over for the hpt, i really prob should have just bared wires and soldiered into wiring for the WB as that's easy there just external power n earth then just canbus wires as it gets bulky with all the splitter plugs, the ngauge plug is different so had to keep that as is
