Why is it set to activate at 28 psi? The factory setting is as low as 4.78 psi at 512 rpm and 7.25 psi at 1024 rpm.

The maximum waring level wont trigger until below 25.5 psi and above 6600 rpm

Have you changed the oil diagnostic settings? Factory pressure sender working?

I have been struggling to figure out why I have a 'low oil pressure' warning and chime this past week. It activates at precisely 28psi hot idle. I've verified my electronic oil pressure values using a mechanical oil pressure gauge, and also the oil level/temp sensor.

I did not knowingly change any factory settings.

Is there a re-set?
Compare your current tune to your stock and see if something got changed accidentally.

Check and clean the contacts on the sensor connector. Or just replace the sensor, it's cheap enough. I don't know how the pressure is being calculated for display, but I would bet the display update rate is a lot slower than the rate the sensor is being evaluated. It could be "glitching" a low value that the ECM can "see" but that the update rate of the reported value on the DIC is too slow to register...

I did do a compare and unfortunately did not
find any differences.

I performed a pressure check with a mechanical gauge and the pressures are accurate, no fluctuations. I also installed a new sensor.
@07GTS see attached. Is it possible to perform this with an E67?

that would have been for the ''oil starvation protection'' i believe it cuts fuel when it happens but i havnt ever herd of it happening to save an engine, also as mentioned the stock low oil settings are very low i have doubled mine and still no low warnings, it even takes like 3 sec of low or no oil pressure before it will warn u from factory which is crazy if it actually works that way, u can try disable the oil starvation see if it does anything as id think the warning would be before it cuts power unless its only for the level if it thinks ur going around a corner too fast and the oil cant return and it will suck the sump too low the low level sensor will trigger the starvation cut ?

Where is the oil starvation setting? I only have HPtuner, do I need a different scan tool?

its all in hpt in the editor, torque management tab

Thanks for the response. 'Oil Starvation' is set to enable and I have not changed it. I was hoping values could be changed too.

I'll go ahead and set it 'disable' and see if that keeps the warning from sounding.
did u say u had an oil sump baffle kit ? not sure if that interferes with the level sensor

Yes, 'Improved Racing' but it's never been an issue in the past?

I can say that after reviewing past year logs, hot idle has dropped 1 psi. Used to be the lowest was 29psi, now 28psi. 28psi is the magic number when the warning sounds, unless it bumps back up 29psi and greater within a second or two.
if u go in the engine diag tab there are some settings there but i suspect they are already below the 28psi if they are factory as has been mentioned by Lt1z

I confirmed the diag settings were not changed to possibly cause this issue.

Is there a way I can view the factory set values and modify them?
they should be there to adjust ? should have some hyst and delay and warning delay values and a table with min pressure per rpm

I've looked around but don't seem to find any? I know the LSA uses a higher volume/pressure pump with squirters. It's possible GM programmed the low oil pressure warning to chime at a higher psi than typical because of the higher flow/pressure demand with squirters? My B15 stock pump is an LS1/LS6 #6665 pump. :(
yours are there i just looked at one of your tune files from earlier, your min is set to 25psi across the board, in the editor, engine diag tab, general, should be some settings there ?
