Has anyone upgraded or replaced the rear stock speakers in the rear dash?

I’m also interested in doing this. I’ve heard of folks adding subs, but never the replacing what’s in the rear dash.

Yeah, I added a sub because it sounded like something was not right for the rear speakers. Go to find out, one of the wires that go from the connector to the speaker cone is broken. Just my luck

How do you open the speakers
You can see the magnet side of the speaker from inside the trunk. That where my speaker wire is torn apart

I recommend taking the back seat out, lifting the back deck and putting all those plastic boxes containing electronics (3 of them I believe) into sleeves and sounds proofing where ever possible. Otherwise you will eventually hear rattles in the back deck.
Shoot me now, but I used old socks and its held up 100% for 4 years
