This is for my wife’s CTS, I need to replace the center radio cluster and see there are two versions. One with 5.1 and one without. How do I know if I have 5.1 or not?

It’s a 2012 CTS Coupe 3.6L without navigation

I believe the 5.1 system was a Bose unit in the higher trim levels in the CTS (Performance & Premium).

Prior to my V I had a Premium 3.6 coupe and it had the same system as in the V.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

That is where I am stuck, I think it is a performance version because of the 3.6 and no navigation.

I went to the dealer and they gave me a part number that included the 5.1 system. They wanted $500. I looked at my unit and the part number on the unit comes up with not having the 5.1. GM warehouse has it for $315.

The dealer used the VIN number to find the part, could that be wrong? Should I use the part number from the unit?

The number on the unit # 22748623 (23103205)
The dealer gave me # 23103203

Also if I replace it does it require any Reprogramming? The dealer wanted $139 for that.

Did you check the RPO code?

The codes are in the spare tire well. Under the lift up floor.

As for reprogramming, I’m not sure.

Now that you mention it, the 5.1 may have been part of the head unit with the nav.
