Just replaced my front struts and bushings. I used my impact for both nuts on top of the strut and already installed the entire assembly in the car. I found out they only need; I think about 20ft. lbs and I'm sure I overdid that. Can I loosen the nut and re-tighten to spec while the assembly is in or do I have to take it back out, get the spring compressor, etc. to loosen and torque to spec. Haven't driven the car yet.

If you are talking about the one nut that is in the center. Make sure the car is on the ground so the spring does not pop off. You can loosen and torque to spec while the car is on the ground. If it were me I would leave it alone.
