whats up everyone. Had to replace my rear o2s. Bought 2 new ones because of the p0430 code. A week later the code comes back. Any help? My mechanic said its probably time for new cats, but before i go drop $$$ on headers, and inevitably doing pullies and e85, is there anything else i can do?

Do you have headers?

I ended up replacing the converters and the code cleared and stayed clear. You could go with new headers and new converters as a package deal.

Stock headers. Entire cars basically stock besides an intake, res/muffler delete

What converters did you buy? And were they just slip ons? Hard to find a good welder near me
Update: put street driven performance high flow test pipes on, they sound insane, but the code came back. Going to do a smoke test and replace the front o2s but any other suggestions?
I bought them from a guy on this site
I still cant buy from here because of the rules of the forum
I will do some googling and see what I can find. are yours stock or do you have headers.
P430 (for bank 2) and P420 (for bank 1) mean that the catalytic converter efficency is not in range anymore. This can appear if either a sensor is broken or like the description of the error code that the cat is bad. In this case you would have to replace the cat.
But since you state that you have no installed test pipes or high flow pipes you would either have to disable the codes with a tuner or buy cat foulers, which are basically tiny cats you put between the sensor and the exhaust stream.
You can get cheaper high flow cats from speed driven performance. I ordered the ones from billy boat first but they kept me waiting for months and never shipped. So I cancelled my order and got the ones from SDP in less than a week.
You need one of these and a 90 degree one for the other side. it will get the light off long enough to get it smog checked. You will end up getting converters so your call.

So i put in SDP catted test pipes, new o2 sensors in the rear and defoulers. Still have a 0430 and 0420 code. Next suggestion??
Then I guess the defoulers are just not efficient enough even with the cattet pipes. I have never used defoulers so I really can't give you any adivice on what works or what doesn't. I just used HPtuners to disable the codes. If you plan to do any modding down the line it might be a good investment anyways to get the HPtuner scanner and software.
