Overdue intro

Appreciate all the info on this site. Had the car for just over 5 years now and never posted.

2nd owner, 2015 with the 6-speed. Bought the car from Carmax, it lived in DFW area prior to me finding it. ~25k on the odometer when I got it, just over 40k now.

Only things done to it have been oil and filter changes and a new set of tires.

Thanks to all the folks on this forum sharing knowledge. Helped me with clicking wheel noises that I am dealing with. My 3rd LS platform car, in my prior 2 noises like the wheel click meant turn up the stereo or get LT headers installed.

5 years on and I still totally love it!

Welcome!

A '15 slicktop with a stick is definitely a rare V.
Wow that's a rare one.

There's only 5 crystal white slicktop manual coupes ever made.
Looks great and you're a handsome fella as well! :alien:

Thanks everyone and especially Jim!

@Arca_ex you mean 5 built for model year '15, right? Only ever thought I'd have black cars, but after test driving four V's around Houston before this one, I pulled the trigger thinking I'd just repaint this one black later on.

Still might...

Also forgot, I want to thank this forum for letting me know that the suspension "crunch" noise when it rarely gets cold here isn't my control arms poking holes in the firewall, just part of the wizardry of magnetic fluid in the shocks.

Please don't repaint that haha. Crystal White was only offered in 2015 so it truly is 1 of 5 ever. All the other white coupes before that are White Diamond Tricoat. I think you also have special red stitched recaros that almost no other CTSV got either.

That color is unique to the coupe, only 169 were ever made in the one year that they had it. 16 of them were manual, 11 with pano sunroof and 5 slicktops.

The red stitching on the seats and dash really actually helped sell the car (to me). I didn't ever pay enough attention to realize the Crystal White and WDT are different, thanks for the knowledge.

OK, well now I'm not ever going to be able to rationalize painting it. I'll also probably start parking it EVEN further from other cars in parking lots. Great.

I was searching for this car for a long time before finding mine. Damn near impossible. I beg of you not to paint it lol

You can swing a dead cat and hit 5 black Vs! lol.

I think at least 90% of them are black (maybe slight exaggeration). It's difficult to find one that's NOT black, especially if you add no sunroof and manual to the wishlist.

I like black, that is all. It'll give me something to do with washing and polishing when/if I retire in 7 years.

...and a thousand Mustangs, Challengers and Chargers. The Mopars mostly black. Mustangs hard to tell after a bad departure from a Cars and Coffee.

Yes, we get tired of paying taxes! 😄 Well, that, and a great pension plan and some decent investments that should at least give me the option to hang up my hat a bit early.
Actually, I'm 53, but thanks Karch. Mentally, still a juvenile.
