Expensive as they are, I have never liked anything as much as the original brembo pads.

OEM Pads (GM Part Numbers)
Front: 25940447
Rear: 89047744

OEM Pads (AC Delco Part Numbers)
Front: 171-1040
Rear: 171-0882

The OEM Pads are Supplied by AC Delco but are made by Ferodo in Italy. They are labeled "Brembo".
I bought AC Delco replacements from Rock Auto. The boxes were labeled "AC Delco" and "Brembo by Ferodo".

So what you are saying is we can buy the AC Delco pads via rock auto and they are exactly the same as our OEM for much less than the dealer???

AC Delco is the OEM supplier to GM. If you buy the pads from the Cadillac dealer you will get the same pads as you will from AC Delco/Rock Auto. If you notice, Rock Auto has the GM part number with the AC Delco part number and they are listed as the "OE Supplier". I included the photo to show what I received from Rock Auto. The AC Delco are exactly the Brembo pads. All eight pads I bought say "Brembo" on the back.

The part # on the box from RockAuto matches the GM/OEM part #, which would lead me to believe they are the exact same material

I used my factory-original pads and the Rock Auto/AC Delco replacement pads on back-to-back weekends at Sebring. Sebring is notoriously hard on brakes. I drove hard enough to boil my ATE Super Blue brake fluid and to turn my silver calipers to gold. I can't tell any difference between the original pads and the AC Delco/"Brembo by Ferodo" OEM replacements.

Seems like this is the way to go if you don't mind the dust.

Don't forget the 5% discount code for Rock Auto to save a few more bucks. Just google it and you find a current discount code.

from RA are the same OE pads as the dealer. You can also get them on Amazon. I got a front set from Amazon one time for 160.00.

Just letting everyone know. Searching for these AC Delco pads in August of 2021. GM must have talked to them about selling the same part for cheaper. The part number 171-1040 for AC Delco pads were the exact same GM OE pads and now when you search for it they come up for around $220-$260 for a pair of front pads. AC Delco has a Gold set part number 17D1405M for much cheaper. They no longer have "Brembo" stamped on the back plate. I suspect this is a similar pad, but not the same material. As the OE pad they sell has a thickness of 0.38" while this Gold pad has a thickness of 0.61" of material. Some information for ya'll to consider. Trying to keep this up to date.
