I'm noticing that many V3s out there with the carbon fiber package have all but black rear diffusers. That is how mine is setup and I assumed the original CF rear diffuser was damaged without being reported into Carfax and replaced with the low cost option that I have now. I've been paying more attention to this detail while I'm regularly browsing around the internet checking out other peoples V3s or those out there for sale and it seems more common than not. While it's been pestering me ever since I bought the car because I love the look of the CF option and don't want to throw down big cash for an aesthetic upgrade, it's now more so because I'm always thinking, what happened? Anyone else in this situation? if so why? or maybe I'm just noticing a pervasive outcome from inevitable damage like with front splitters?

My guess is that those cars that you see did not originally come from the factory with the carbon fiber kit. They are aftermarket and the original owners updated them except for the rear diffusers due to cost. Look under your hood. Is the underside of the hood CF? Mine is because I opted for the CF package.

All hoods are CF. Trunks too, I believe.

Don't get suckered into the WX rear diffuser. Just by stock.

I lot of people add on carbon fiber bits, the front splitter, hood insert, rear wing are pretty common add ons where as the diffuser is not so id imagine theyre not original carbon fiber pack cars, not really a big deal unless you MUST have a carbon fiber rear diffuser
