Yeah, I try not to abuse it but it doesn't make sense to buy a V and drive it like a base 3.6 car haha.
Not far from either, I'm right in Fall River!
Yessir! From 2012-2015. The GS was manual only when introduced in the States at first and then they rolled out the automatic versions. Of course, the take rate of the manual decreased year after year and was dropped after 2015. I absolutely love the GS which is why I held on to it even though I bought the V. The 2.0T lacks the straight line punch you'd expect given the cars fairly aggressive looks but for a heavy-ish FWD sedan, it handles damn good. Not sure if I'd own one if it was automatic.
Thank you! Good to know. I work at a Cadillac dealer so the fluid change is the first thing I did and there was metal in it. I've put about 1,800 miles on it since the new diff so I'll probably have the fluid changed this week now just to check on it.
Just under $30K with a warranty included. That warranty company then covered a brand new GM diff to the tune of $4,800 4 months after I bought it.
I definitely paid the manual tax but there were really no comparable cars in the market and this one in particular presented itself well. It only had 2 owners, the first I believe was a GM employee and then the second owner bought it in 2011 with 1,800 miles as CPO. He kept it until mid-2022 when he traded it into a Chevrolet dealer.
A 110K mile M6 2009 sedan on BaT just sold for $33K or something like that so that didn't make me feel like I really overpaid.
Trust me, Silver is never my first choice but you have to compromise sometimes lol. It had the Recaros and the UltraView and being Silver, it matched my GS.
If I had the choice, Opulent Blue is what I would have went after.
Thanks.
Different strokes for different folks. I love my plastic fourth gens. I've had 3 and there will probably be more to come.
