Thanks for the add. Just sold my 06 Corvette as the miles were getting a little high and picked up a 2013 Crystal Red V sedan with 58k on the clock. First time owning a CTS-V even though I’ve been wanting one for the past few years. Car came with Texas Speed LT headers and 3” X-pipe (no cats), Corsa Sports, New Era CAI and a tune (no idea who). Any advice what mods I should do first?

Welcome to the forum. Post up pics of the car when you can. I’d get some cooling mods on the list then do injectors and pulley. It’ll really wake the car up

I noticed you have a ZL-1 lid on your car, does it require milling to make it fit? Also does it clear the strut tower brace?

Don’t quote me on this but I think either needs to be milled or you can lower the cradle? Someone else will chime in I’m sure.
Mine clears the strut bar no problem

The ZL1 lid clears the V2 strut brace without an issue, however the lid requires milling otherwise it will contact the hood near the front of the lid.

Here's a couple of photos of my lid pre and post milling respectively;

Lots of room under the tower brace, not so much between the lid and hood

I noticed on DSX Tuning's website that they sell a ZL-1 lid and it gives the option of milling it or not, that's why I asked. Some people have told me that they didn't mill theirs while others said they did? Another question is what exactly do they do to the brick to reinforce it? Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm new to this platform.

They weld extra plates on the sides to reinforce it. Just be carefully in the future if you up the boost, it will start leaking. I think there are a couple people on here to incoude me, that had that happen after about a year. C&R brick is a far better upgrade in my opinion.

Thank you, that’s good to know. Damn, that C&R brick isn’t cheap.

Actually there was a cost decrease by about $300 on the C&R brick for 2023. 😉

Is C&R the only company that sells a heavy duty brick?

Yes AFAIK.

Don’t think they have gotten to the point if Aliexpress knock offs yet.

Nor would I trust one even if they did exist.
