2012 passenger seat airbag

I got a 2012 V sedan. The airbag light was coming on intermittently for awhile. Took it to a Cadillac dealer and they said the passenger seat presence module is bad (even though all they checked were codes and didn't bother checking the wires underneath) Anyone have this issue and get it...
