My guess is that they will indeed pair the ZO6 engine with the front electric battery in a higher trim like the ZR1 or perhaps ZORA. The only thing is this will also be twin turbocharged as well. If my prediction is correct than this car will run high 8s out of the box at 152mph +Just watched it earlier, pretty cool.

I’m curious what the infrastructure plan is to support vehicles that can exhibit these kind of speeds? Where will we be in ten years when essentially every personally owned vehicle can accelerate to 2.5 seconds at 60. I mean currently, wtf can you even drive like that in a city? Suggests that AI and autonomous driving is just around the corner, for real. Wouldn’t that be fun for us old guys (insert cynical remark here)

I have to say I am a bit confused by this car, what is the point and who is the target audience? The C8 is a revolutionary ICE car in high demand. Why a hybrid and what does it beat at that price point? What is gained by the hybrid, the Z06 seems like a better car. You could just buy a non-plaid Tesla and get those numbers. If I'm spending $100K+ on an EV, especially a Vette, I expect it to at least keep up with a Plaid. I understand the potential for increased performance configurations at higher cost in the future but you can buy a Plaid right now that is already faster and I'm sure they will work to keep that claim.
