I recently got ahold of a racing chiller it replaces the whole crash bar. I got ahold of the shop that makes it and they sent a set of instruction but it is not very clear.

Can any one help me out with seeing this thing up, or have any pictures?

You’re getting rid of the crash bar?

I want to get a custom crash bar made to fit it. But I have to get the car running before I can take it some where to have that done

Sorry. Engineer in me.

This is how I role:

Make sure fuel and electrical is solid, brakes are up to the task, and then add power.

If it’s a track car, that’s one thing, but a street car, I don’t disable or dismantle safety equipment.

Buzz kill or not. You weren’t around when no less than three members rolled and totaled their V2 and all walked away. That was impressive.

I haven't seen one outside pictures on this forum, but I believe the intended use is to replace the crash bar entirely.
Out of curiosity, post the instructions please.
It does replace the crash bar. That's why I want a custom one made to fit around it.

The chiller is made out of aluminum so at least it's metal I guess. Ill find them and post them tomorrow.

The instructions I have are for the regular chiller they sell on the website. It's goes inside the crash bar. I think you have to special order this one. But I guess for the most part the install should be the same?

You may not be able to fit anything of substance between the reservoir and the bumper cover. I am almost certain the bumper cover rests on the crash bar top and front. I'll be in the garage Saturday and will take and post a picture of the clearance between the two.

This was kinda my idea for a crash bar if it'll fit. If not I'd like to atleast put a solid plate on the back side of the chiller to strengthen it.

All three in the same car or three individual occurrences?
Absolutely impressive either way.
Crash rating is part of the reason our second car is a Subaru.
Three separate crashes. I don’t think any passengers were in any of them. All happened at a fairly high speed.

One was converted to LHD in Australia, probably around 2013-2014. The other two within a couple of years of that. Just going off memory though, so not exact on the dates.

Guy ran a red light and hit my first v, so things can happen on the street when you are minding your business not even moving let alone spirited driving

This whole project is because I got rear ended in my coupe, I was at a dead stop and a dude slammed into me going 60 no breaks. So I definitely know about that.

chillers around here get a bad rap due to some previous vendors business practices, but if you could figure out a way use a chiller and keep a crash bar I think its way better. I feel the underhood tanks and all that is really only good for the track as street driving just eventually heats everything up anyhow. Yes recovery is the key but not having to deal with it at all seems way better

It's pretty big and the hoses are all pre made on this kit so I don't have a lot of room to try and move it around 🤔

It's 40" long to bad I cant put it in the trunk or something
