Moved from v3 to c8

2170 Views 14 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  papi
Made the switch from a 2017 v3 to a 2022 fully loaded c8 corvette.

Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful car to look at, but the driving experience isn't the same (my v3 only had intake and exhaust but i still smiled ear to ear wot).

Anyone else here own a c8 and done any mods to wake it up abit, maybe I still need to get used to the different feeling but shit I miss my v3 it's only been 2 days 😢

You could send it to LMR.

Wait, let me get this straight….

You’ve owned a V3 for several years? You recently got rid of it, now have a c8?

You just joined a CTS-V forum, and you’re asking for performance improvements for the c8?

Am I getting this right?

I've lurked here for quite some time, just seeing if anyone else here is in the same boat feeling disappointed going from v3 to c8 and how they remedy the problem.

Figured we are all car guys and can speak freely right?
I don't think you gonna be able to remedy the problem, unless you add 2 more doors or 2x more seats 🤣
Good luck thu. I'm sure aftermarket is getting better and better for C8s.

By all means, feel free. I just wondered why you hadn’t joined earlier while you had the V3? There’s a wealth of knowledge here.

That C8 is beautiful. Congrats on the car. I also love my V3 but want a C8 and have been debating the move for a while. I havent driven the C8 so Im curious to hear the differences between the platforms.

Maybe you're missing the supercharger?

Dealers around here are still asking for crazy markups above list for C8’s and especially on orders for the new Z06. As much as I love my C6 Z06/Z07, there’s something about that supercharger whine and instant torque that keeps putting a smile on my face! :)

Saw that Z06s are sold out - spoken for.
I was considering a C8, I already owned (sold it) a C5 Z06 that I modded.

Being in Ca, the world of modifications has been limited to exhaust.

Most engine mods won't pass smog, however, if the car is new, you got 6 years before you have to make Mr. Smogman happy.

I decided to move on from what GM was offering and got a Lexus LC500.

There is virtually nothing offered to increase hp for these.

I guess my age is dictating my choices more. lol
