Friday October 18th at Great Lakes Dragway Union Grove Wisconsin is the Midwest V Shoot out from 11AM-9PM. Anyone planning on attending? Should make for a fun day at the strip provided the weather cooperates.

I went. Definitely needs some organization. It was chaos with random cars going like mustangs, Porsche's, escalades, hellcats etc. I think there was 25 Cadillac's so not worth the trip from FL but was there to support Rick and he kicked ass. He won and then set the new blower only record with a 8.85

Cadillac attack blows this event away if anyone is wanting to do an event and can only do 1 a year. Not knocking whoever put this on just giving a honest opinion and maybe they can switch things up to make it better.

On a side note. I've been to one that was even worse about 4 maybe 5 years ago in Bowling Green that Tony threw. Total shit show and was such a waste of time. I seriously wanted to beat some ass for wasting my time.

What blower is Rick Crawford using? Ported LSA or a big boy?

Thats because the track was not rented just for the V event. It was done this way in an effort to keep the buy in low, which it was. IMO the organizers did a good job all things considered.

It was run on a normal track day which had 0 effect on how things ran. The track 100% catered to our event, track prep broke multiple axles, driveshafts, and rear ends. As well as saved a car from a fire and gave our guys priority with whatver we needed. Test n tune was run between rounds which included all types of cars but had no effect on what we were doing.

The first round took quite some time to get organized mainly due to drivers having issues and trying to get things fixed before the round started. The event can only be as organized as the participants allow them to be. We werent perfect by any means but I can assure you we tried like hell. Deadlines were pushed back as people rolled in hours late. All things considered it ended up a good event. Not to mention talk to the winners and ask about how the payouts were for how many cars entered!

We are in talks with cal to unify rules a bit and I think when we come together on that we end up with more events for our cars to compete in and almost made a series type ordeal.

What we need is more constructive criticism that way we can all come together and create something we can all enjoy a few times a year.

On Facebook rick said the mph was down in the lane he ran the 8.8. Approx 3-4.
He was running 9.0’s most of the day at 4000

For the 8.8 run he took 210lb out. He had to add 210lb to meet the minimum 4000

So 8.8 run would of been 3790lb + him

CUIN9SEC/ George was runnings 9.0s

Yeah I understand there are more variables like participants delaying. FL boys cant sit in that cold too long:p. The axles breaking where wheel spin. I saw 2 cars do it right in front of me. Keep working on it and it will be bad ass. I know its a huge pain in ass to organize something like this. And its hard to do classes when only 25 cars show. I'll bring my 3 cars when it gets sorted out

Pretty impressive considering he's barely got any track time with the setup and everyone wrote off the 2650 as a dud. I know he made those passes at full weight.

Also John koza/Billy hogan i believe went 8.6 at 164 with a twin turbo 6l90 sedan that ended up losing a piston b4 first round and I went 8.5 @ 126 letting out at the eighth. George has been busting ass on his and when its lined out I have no doubt will be a middle 8 second car. I know there is more up his sleeve as well...
