Welp, i heard a tick. And right away i said “ha time for headers”. I was also due for an oil change since i put 3k on the car and idk when the previous owner did it for sure. (Everyone lies) so my mechanic, really good friend, said lets hope its not lifters, but oil will tell us. Oil change was good. No sound on cold start this morning. Temp dropped tn, i heard a tick when i started it so i pop the hood and well… yeaaa thats my header. Anyone have a solution without having to do headers yet? Because those arent in the budget rn

Replace the gaskets, unless, of course, you really just need
to justify getting headers.

^^^^ for real. It's like replacing fuel pumps or injectors with OEM.
You gonna end up getting LTs eventually..
yea i wouldnt put an OEM set back on. Thats pointless. Im trying to find if theres a way to gwt around having to do any of that rn. Like being able to patch it like a normal exhaust leak. Because its not just throwing on headers and calling it there. Itll need to be tuned

Right but you see the crack above the bolt? Would gaskets even do anything
My opinion; replace it, as it will be costly to repair correctly, if long life is your priority.
