Hi all,

I don't post much. I have a 2011 CTS-V. Yesterday I noticed it didn't feel as powerful at WOT as usual. Today I looked at the boost gauge and it seems to only go to the first increment (I'm guessing about 3 PSI). I know it used to go half way like around 7 to 8 PSI. The car is stock other than a cold air intake. I have had it for 5 years with no problems. Any ideas what may be causing the sudden low boost? No warning lights are on. Could my belt be slipping?

Try unplugging the electrical connector on the bypass valve and plugging it back in, listening for a nice click. Take it for a ride and if that doesn't work, then try the 2 options above

Update after a few weeks of doing nothing. I got a check engine light 9/1/22. It was still on the morning of 9/2/22 but went away in the afternoon upon start up. It hasn't occurred since. I don't think it was related to the low boost problem as I had low boost for a while without a check engine light. Fast forward to today 9/9/22, Power is back boost gauge show 9 PSI at WOT. Car fixes itself. Haha! Maybe only temporarily but it's back to running correctly again with no help from me. Thank you guys for the input!

Yeah. That pretty much indicts the BOV IMO. It's mechanical. It can get sticky. The effect of that stickiness will come and go, probably as a function of ambient conditions (like humidity and temperature). The odds are that eventually it'll get stuck and stay stuck and you'll be back to no boost.

What's BOV? Sorry for my ignorance.
