not sure if this has been discussed before. was talking with my tuner about the timing and getting a little more out of the car. his response was the stock cats are not allowing for more timing and either high flo cats with headers or cat delete would help a lot. at this point o don't want to ho headers simply because of the cost to power ratio. has anyone just replaced their stock cats for the kooks green cats in order to free things up? this is not totally necessary but was just thinking outside the box. obviously the easy rout would be fork up the coin for kooks headers and green cats but thats more than i want to spend.
just looking for some thoughts

Why not just switch over to test pipes, or just gut your primary cats

Thought about buying the bb test pipes but almost everyone has said it introduces the gas smell and sounds raspy.

Wish the bb high flow cats had better results from other members as that would be a direct bolt in. Haven’t heard positive results with figment and longevity

not to mention they are backordered like 8 months everywhere and cost over $600.
Vladi is supposed to be coming out with his own test pipes in a few days.

My BB test pipe work just fine, I do have my secondary cats in place which makes it sound pretty good. I think if you take out the secondary cats it may sound raspy. As for the smell, I really don't smell anything. Cold starts, if you stand in the rear you do smell exhaust but I think that is some what normal. After it warms up I don't smell anything. There is a thread on proper BB gaskets if need be. Other then that I am very happy with mine. I know there are a couple for sale in the for sale thread.
