Installed Borla S-type cat-back system on my V3

Recently installed a Borla S-type cat-back system on my 2016 V3 and took a quick video after it was warmed up. I'll probably record a cold start but not any kind of short turnaround. Excuse my mess of a garage.

Borla S-Type cat back exhaust on my CTS-V3

Specific to noise, of course this isn't anything comparable to Corsa, BB, Kooks, ARH, or any combinations with headers or headers back to the stock muffler. Comparing to stock, the volume of the cold start is loud enough for me to worry about HOA warnings, idling through warm up is probably around 30% louder from the ear gauge, and after warming up is not much more than stock but much deeper.

Not even 1 rev?

You can do better than that!

I'll plan for some revving after I can get out of my HOA community (y)

@V3_manny I actually just saw your videos over the weekend and the video driving through your neighborhood was really helpful. My car is still up on jack stands finishing up install of the Carlyle rear suspension kit and hasn't been pulled out of the garage yet. Have your neighbors said anything to you about the noise?

I haven’t had any complaints. I have two scat packs on my street that sound like muffler delete and I think their cold start is louder or equally as loud. Cold Starting in tour should help out.

Sounds good from the clip. It's pretty amazing how well sound is insulated with windows up and am always a bit surprised how loud it can get especially at wot.

You’re absolutely right. The exhaust sounded quiet for my initial impression, but that was because I was inside the car. It wasn’t until I drove through an underpass, along side structures that echoed and made the video that I realized how loud it gets and how dramatic the downshifts are. And yes the WOT is surprisingly loud for how tame it is in low RPMs.
