Been having problems w a coolant leak. Replaced the reservoir hoses that run into the tank, engine and radiator cuz one was bad. Still leaking. Waterpumps fine. But theres hoses down there that have coolant. I called caddy said i needed an upper radiator hose because i thought thats what i needed after talkin to the tech. Wasnt it. So the hose thats leaking is going to the waterpump (google pic for a better view) but i cannot for the life of me find out through any diagrams what the actual hell that hose is…. Someone help

So if im looking at the google pic. The one on the left nearest to the upper radiator hose, youre saying its an oil cooler? Cuz ive had the car overheat a few weeks back since it was realllll low on coolant. Im just trying to be sure here as to what im buyin so im not constantly returning parts

The two next to the thermostat housing (passenger side) are the heater core hoses, hopefully it is a leak in the hose and not the core! The lines that run to your oil cooler, one is located on the opposite lower side (drivers side) at the base of the water pump. The other line to your oil cooler is incorporated into the lower radiator hose (expensive hose) usually special order, it is a T type. I suggest that you add dye to the coolant and get a black light.

so do we think its heater core or oil cooler? Idk if its related to it but lately the supercharger lids been hot. I can still put my hand on it for a few seconds but its hot. I put a 4in ligenfelter intake pipe with the gutted airbox and k&n. And its been 85° lately so thats getting warm in the ny traffic. But the blower is getting a bit too warm for my liking and wondering if it has something to do with it. Or if its common. Ik these car’s have some shit cooling systems. And I personally dont get it. I assume it’s because they crammed everything into a car meant for a 6cyl. So it just heat soaks from lack of air? Idrk

Coolant to the lid is a complete separate loop. If the hose is from drivers side it should be to oil cooler. Passenger side to heater core. Is the coolant in the fill “t” at proper level? Stock cooling? Aftermarket?

Blower lid will be hot to the touch, it is sitting on top of a 200 deg engine. The brick in there and associated cooling loop is cooling the air coming in, not the lid. You got it about the heat soak part. Theres a lot of stuff in there making heat and if you are idiling a lot or stop the car for a bit and restart it will get hot up top.

Please take pictures and post. I am sure that the heater hose will be a pain... Are you going to do both at the same time? I was thinking of going to All Hose and have some made to order with better hoses. You know? Those silicone hoses to make them last longer than the originals.

Thank you for the picture. I live in Las Vegas and there is lots of construction. All Hose makes custom hoses. Now I see the pair you describe I will go down with mine and have them custom make them replacing the rubber parts with their hose material that is silicone. It is a pain in the ass if you don't have an extra car to run down to the hose making place. Anyway, thanks again for the information.
