I read over and over that everyone removes the lower radiator hose, some take the bumper off to do it because I guess it's a pain in the ass to get to.
I think I've got a better way to do it...
If anyone can think of some reason why this isn't better let me know.
Obviously coolant cycles in and out of the reserve tank at a pretty good flow rate. The upper hose is the incoming line.
I took the hose off the tank and added a fitting to add more hose to run into a container. As soon as I started the car up it started filling up the container. I'm confident I can add in my fresh coolant in while the old cycles out. Especially with a second person starting the car while I pour.
Thoughts on this?
I might just use water to start, wait until it's well flushed, then start pouring in full concentrate dexcool until I get about a 50/50 mix. (2 gallons)
Only thing that might jam me up for being able to get it all in one shot is the thermostat might stay closed.
