The Opulent Blue, painted wheels, red calipers and titanium interior really pops - much more than I was hoping. Everyone wants the "murdered look" and black wheels, etc these days; but I still like the shine and bling. I was really impressed seeing the car seeing it for the first time, and the dealer did a great job of hand-washing the car on the detail. Overall, it turned out to be a very good experience and although I love car dealers like I love lawyers and a few extra holes in my head; this experience will be one of the best overall for me.

I'm trying not to break that 4K RPM limit for now... (15 miles total), but it's a very solid feeling car to drive and is very confidence-inspiring under normal conditions. It will take a while to get comfortable pushing curves with the extra weight relative to a Z06, but for 5 doors, a happy wife and a car I can drive 7 days a week... it's a no-brainer.

Preliminary pics, only had my cellphone, more to come, etc:

Excellent. I came VERY close to going with this, but the wife liked the Thunder Gray - she approved me getting the car if I let her pick the color - fair enough I thought! But the OB with the light interior is super nice IMO. The only thing I would have done different would be yellow or silver calipers. I have the silver painted wheels on my TG wagon and I actually like them...

My wife really likes Thunder Gray also, and I would be driving one if she didn't hesitate when there were two for sale online 2-3 months ago. But, both those cars sold, I would up ordering one and here we are! I liked the red calipers as they really pop against the Opulent Blue, and the panted rims likewise are a good compliment: lighter, but not chrome. The contrast says this isn't just some regular utility wagon. Everyone claims this... but it really just works for me seeing the car in person.

With that said, I'm biased towards red calipers as it reminds me of my old Z06 - one of the reasons I bought the V Wagon, actually.

If you like the shine and bling, why the dull painted wheels over polished? Going to get them chromed?
When I ordered, I had the choices of painted, chromed or satin/black.

I personally like them in that order (regardless of cost), meaning I liked the painted silver look most which is closest to brushed or polished aluminum. I also like chrome, but I thought it would be too much for the color combo - and I made the right choice (for me) when I saw the car for the first time.

I think people often look down on the painted wheels because they're the base option, but I like them. Fair warning, though - I tend to prefer the mostly stock look on the cars I buy. Just my thing. If I can ever convince the wife to let me get some aftermarket wheels, I would likely get either a similar color or brushed aluminum for this color combination.

I'm getting cold feet on your offer - I'm digging this car a little too much right now. Besides, now your suspension probably squeaks and squeals because you didn't cut the bump stops? :D

I congratulated you on the other site, too. Congrats and welcome to the vanishingly small OBM club!
