My new-to-me V still has the paint on the full hole bolt. I'm guessing that fluid has 131k miles on it.
So my first step in maintenance will be a simple fluid refresh. If I have done my research right, I will need to stick a hose up the "full" hole and fish it over to the lowest part of the pan to suck out the old fluid. Then push in new fluid via the top passenger fill hole until it spit out the "full" hole in the pan. Then plug that, and pump another quart in from the top.
All of this need to be done at 80-120 degrees trans temp with engine running, with the car level. Correct?
How much fluid should I have on hand for this type of "fluid change"?
I'll probably do it again in a couple months.
