unless that is the wrong thing, it looks like there are several hood struts available via Rock Auto.

just to update this- the OEM hood shock is now $50-$70 depending on shipping
I installed a Stabilus 3B-465573 which is about $20-$25 depending on shipping
Stabilus says MADE IN USA and is an OEM supplier

My car is a 2014 and I figured if the GM supplied one already went bad why not just try a different one for half the price

Took me longer to order and type this up than it did to install it. If your hood has been coming down dont delay order today

You could try...NAPA.... I replaced mine in january

I replaced the hood and trunk struts with Rock Auto parts.I would never go to the dealership except for things covered under warranty.

I’m not advocating for the dealer, but also not advocating for the economy tier parts from rock auto. I would never buy the economy version anything for the caddy; my Prius, maybe.

Rob, thank you for the company that makes these. I just went to their website, downloaded the Pdf for auto applications and found the application for one of my other cars trunk. Service manager (a good friend) said they should be replaced. I think I saved about $100 over buying through them, and I bought them through Amazon!
