Help with whistling sound

My car makes a weird whistle noise after warmed up and can hear it just cruising. Same sound regardless of rpm and difference in gear or neutral. It stops when I get down to around 10mph. No idea if it does it going fast because you know exhaust. I've been trying to figure out for a couple months with no success. After removing and reseating intake, all exhaust connection, and all vacuum lines I finally thought to put in neutral and shut it off to rule out the engine and sure enough it still made the noise with engine off while in motion. Brakes are not down to the squeal bar. Maybe wheel bearing? Never had one fail so don't know what it sounds like and don't know how I would isolate which one. I've tried swerving hard to see if noise changes, but it doesn't. Anyone run into this or have any ideas?

I was going to make a joke about maybe you had deer whistles on your car. So I went looking for a picture and came across this from a manufacturer who appears to be totally unclear on the basic concept and decided to post it instead...

You don't have any of these on your car, do you? :)

Seriously, though, it sounds (no pun intended) like an aerodynamic effect, not mechanical. If you're moving fast enough it whistles. Doesn't matter what the motor and gearbox are doing. A bad wheel bearing might whine at first, but it will quickly progress to grinding. That's how you isolate it - you wait for it to make enough noise you can be sure which wheel it is. Helps to isolate noises sometimes if you have someone else drive the car and you sit in the center of the back seat and listen.

Hahaha! No deer whistles nor are there any trick tailpipe whistles. There are always deer in my neighborhood at all times all over the place though!

Yeah I thought about the aero, but not a thing has changed. The other thought is maybe it's coming from brakes even though it's not worn down to the bar. Should there be a gap between pad and rotor when not applied? Because sure doesn't look like it to me

No gap. Jack the wheel and see how easy it turns.
Looks like it's the passenger front wheel bearing. Makes some weird clicking noise when you turn that one. Just ordered and will replace tomorrow and hope that takes care of it.

While I was in there figured I'd clean out the brakes and grease back of the pad up along with the pins and metal/metal contact points since they squeak all the time and boy those brembos are super easy to take the pads off. Funny part is my last 5 cars have all had brembos and always got a new one before they needed pads so I only ever do the familys brakes which are regular ol calipers.
Once they're on the car long enough, Brembos can be just as much of a bitch as most other calipers. Maybe more. They're painted, so you can't pound on them with a hammer when you get pissed off lest you damage the paint.

Torque the wheel lugs to 140ft/lbs. That's where the click occurs.
Update. Man I was way off, had a buddy drive around while I listed from the outside and not a wheel bearing. It's coming from rear so now I believe it's the diff. Hope it's not ruined. Trying to put puzzle pieces together and I think this started after car went into a section of flooded road for a brief second. Might have been deep enough for water to enter through vent. Not even sure if it cars have a vent, but it's my current thinking. Anyway ordered gm fluid and will drain and refill and see what happens.

Ok finally able to get a recording of this. One is going around 30mph, listen for the tea kettle sound. The other is coming to a stop and is the creaky sound. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd certainly appreciate it Tapatalk Cloud - Downlaoad File Convert_PXL_20221119_234738860~2.mp3Tapatalk Cloud - Downlaoad File Convert_PXL_20221119_234738860~3.mp3

"Creaky" sounds like sway bar bushings to me. I got nothin' for the tea kettle except "When I get all steamed up, Hear me shout, Tip me over and pour me out!”.

The Diff does have a vent, I'm pretty sure. And yeah, if you hit deep enough water with a hot Diff, as the water cools the Diff it might suck some water in through the vent.
Is it possibly the active noise cancelling system? The frequency of the sound seems too stable and higher than something of mechanical origin.

Thanks for the thought, but it's much louder outside the car so definitely not the electronics

Haha! Good stuff. Update, it's gone away and no clue if or how it's related, but car was shifting a bit too agressive and turned line pressure down, but no clue if that could even possibly be related.
