I have a set of Dynatech headers for the V coupe that I picked up second hand. They don’t come with connectors/adapters and apparently Dynatech doesn’t even offer the connectors, only their mid pipes that they will happily sell you for a wad of money.
I have new local-shop-built mid pipes that I will reconfigure to use with the headers. I’m not happy with that shop and I’m not about to pay them to do this. I would like to buy just the mating connectors for this header connection type that I can then weld to.
It’s not a flat gasket arrangement, apparently the other pipe slips over and has a welded ring and flange. Does this style actually use a gasket? What does the gasket look like?
The pipe here is 3”OD and straight, not tapered at all.
I can make this, but a store-bought connector would be appealing.
Any ideas on this?
Anyone have a pic of the mating piece?
I have emailed Dynatech and await their reply.

Vee bands are sounding like a great idea.
I can weld.
I have the tools....
I can stick/mig/TiG the thing

I like the fewer parts of the V band connection
I just hadn’t thought of the cut-that-sucker-Off! Solution

V bands are way sweeter than that other shit, just clamp them down good to the bench and be careful not to warp them, I use them whenever I can.
