Talked about by others...never seen widely done.
I have asked in here if anyone had devised a software Line-Loc (a way to utilize the ABS system to produce the effect, as is done with the Dodge Demon and the 1320. No one has, apparently.
When would you use a line lock?
When would you use a line lock?
To not have to overpower the rear brakes to do a burny in the staging lanes

In the burnout box, right. I've completed a "few" burnouts but have never thought a line lock would make the process easier.

Line lock isn’t necessary with this platform as long as you don’t mind changing rear brake components. True drag cars without adequate vacuum at low rpm due to larger cams benefit from having a line lock.

Not that it's "necessary"... but if your ride has THREE pedals, it can be helpful

I've thought of doing exactly this more than a few times. No question but that it's possible. Either by spoofing the system in to holding pressure on just the front brakes so you can step on the brake pedal, throw the switch, take your foot off the pedal and do your burnout, and then throw the switch back to stage and race. This requires messing with the ABS control block. Or by spoofing the system in to thinking the rear wheels are locked so it won't allow any brake pressure to be applied there, so you'd have to keep your foot on the brake but only the front calipers would see any action. This would require messing with the wheel speed sensors (but it might be as simple as disconnecting them so the ABS computer thinks the back wheels aren't turning. Though probably that'll just throw a fault. I suspect I'll need to build a circuit to spoof the system so it thinks the sensors are there).

Just been too lazy to dig in to the system and figure out what'll work.

Glad to here that you are considering working on it. I'm not capable of your level of tinkering so I'll wait for your outcome!
This or SLP, I think I posted that before. Your own lines will need to be made. Worked fine for me on LX chassis, but it was PnP kit with lines and everything.
Makes for a great theft deterrent as well, if your switch is semi-hidden, lol.
I've considered installing the Line Loc hardware, just not super keen on it. I know it's possible to get the effect using programming and no hardware and that's what I'd really prefer.
Someone has the schematics for the ABS system and can post 'em, I'll see what I can suggest...

These 3 schematics are listed under Antilock Brake System on the GM service website.

Not a lot of detail. Doesn't show the ABS valve block. Looks like the wheel speed sensors would be a place to try a hack. Need to think about it.
