Harness Bars & Bucket Seats

Hi All,

As I continue to track the V, the need for a 5-point harness and bucket seats is becoming readily apparent. (If I had the recaros, I’d not have to replace the seats…) has anyone found a harness bar & seats that can bolt in?

I met a guy with an ATS-V at Daytona who used the Braum Universal bar, but he said he had to have someone modify the bar to make it work with his car. Link to that is here:

There’s also the Weapon X harness bracket which…seems sketchy because of how it mounts to the floor:

Has anyone taken these steps? Ideally everything could bolt in including the bucket seats that I’m looking for. (Btw, if anyone has any recommendations…)

Hi , in my experience off-road race seats with a harness bar with no hoop or halo are considered more dangerous in a roll over due to you being supported completely upright if the roof comes down . With shoulder harnesses your upper body can shift down if roof collapses . I know that’s a worst case scenario but may be worth looking into or considering if your pushing hard enough to require the next level of protection. May be different in road racing .
I can add that to the list.
I'd be interested id something worked, the weapon-x, that's just a no no unless you want your collar bone snapped..or spine compressed..not to mention...you're crushed. A custom loop bar would be nice.

I’m in talks with a shop near me to go that route. It’ll take a minute because of having to go all the way to NJ to get fitted for the seats I want, but it seems that a lot of the work I’m gonna have to do will be custom.
