2010 CTS-V Sedan. Bolt-ons, E85, tune. Stock A6 trans.

Bought the car used so I don't have much info on the tune or who tuned the car (mods were performed 3 owners before me and not communicated well from owner to owner it seems)

Car runs and drives pretty much perfectly. Smooth shifts through every gear, up and down. The only thing is shifting from park to drive, or reverse to drive, it engages very firmly. To the point that it will chirp the tires in my shop or lunge forward.

Any ideas? I have HP Tuners and can log a file if anyone has PID recommendations.

600-650 id guess but i havent logged it yet.. It doesn't jump way up or anything either. Like I said, every other function of the car and transmission seems normal. It's literally only when shifting into D from park or reverse that this happens. But it basically feels like if you revved it up to 1000 RPMs and dropped it into Drive.

could have some of the torque management removed for the ''garage shift'' settings maby, which is not needed but as ur not sure on its history if u can read the tune it will show anything changed some on here may notice it if u can post the tune file

Update: I logged RPM at idle using torque pro and it's idling right around 700. It's an A6 car, btw.

I can definitely pull the file but I havent hooked my laptop up yet. Where should I be looking in HPTuners?

look in the transmission, torque management, make sure the ''torque reduction'' garage shift is enabled and any of those with the garage shift if they have ''none'' then its nothing, if they are 'throttle only'' then thats just using airflow and ''no throttle'' means it will use spark to reduce torque for the shifting between selectors, it may even have the skip shift by neutral may be disabled but it would be good if u had a stock tune to compare to so u can see exactly what was changed, there is also some airflow trans shift stuff in the editor as well for between park neutral drive but may not be those if ur rpm isnt jumping up

It's on my list of things to do, I just ordered a new filter and DEX6 fluid. I bought the car used and I have no idea when/if it's been changed. Car has 118k miles.

I just think it's odd that it only does it going into drive and every other function of the transmission is fine.
