the torque gains with no other adjustments is always worth it, then u can gain a little more with a tune, once u go ethanol u wont go back
E85 is great as long as your fuel system is capable of supply
is a stock fuel system able to handle the 85

Only to a certain point. The injectors need to be upgraded at minimum
Power gains rise as you add power, helps IAT's, MUCH cheaper than race gas, but with similar octane, about the same cost as 93 pump gas when you consider the mileage loss, all Pro's IMO. Since selling my Turbo Buicks years ago, I stopped adding meth and every car since has been flex fuel. Even my daily has a map for up to 30% E (Mercedes C43)

You're the kind of guy who would have enjoyed the Buick Grand National. . .

I also owned a Typhoon.
I really enjoyed driving that car.

Since it was turbocharged (very snappy) and AWD, I had a lot of fun with first time passengers, who did not understand that when making a left turn, about half-way through the turn, you could mash the accelerator pedal.

Funny watching them (with their eyes so wide) attempt to grab something to hold onto..
I used to put dry in the A2W IC and run 100 octane but this was prob 25 years ago
Buick really got into drag racing back in the late 1980's.

With the direct help from Buick Engineers, Buddy Ingersoll built a twin turbo Buick. The biggest problems they encountered with the car, after sorting it out was breaking drive train parts..lol

Here is a video of Buddy Ingersoll beating everyone (but Glidden) at a major IHRA meet in 1986.
This was the day they outlawed the Turbo Buicks from racing Pro Stock.

The little 268 CID Twin Turbo was allegedly making ~1200 HP & ~1000 lbs. feet of Torque.

Enough to beat the 700 CID IHRA NA Pro Stock Cars. . .
Except for Glidden..lol

The car weighed in at that meet at 2350 pounds.
With 25 psi, from twin TO-4's.

Oh man, yesss! My dream garage would have both the cyclone and typhoon and of course grand national. Back in the day I was always amazed at the off line performance when going against those two.

Back to original question, flex fuel is simply great. Major improvement and is like crack. I can never bring myself to fill up with just 93 anymore. I'm limited to about E40 which ends up basically being half 93 and half pump e85. When it's cold, and I use that term loosely as I'm in FL, I go a like 1 or 2 more gallons of 93 than e85 to end up high E30s due to the pressure drop as I like to keep my injector pulse width around 5.8ms to 6.0 max on the initial hit.

I used to own a built Mazdaspeed 6 that ran ethanol. I had to mix 50/50 with 93 and e85 with every tank and I still found it to be worth it. Seems like a no brainer for the V.
