Front springs for drag racing question

829 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Rekkr
Got to talking to a buddy of mine about the drag suspension setup on his race car which ultimately led to us talking about the V suspension, which ended up sending me down a rabbit hole of wondering if anyone has messed with swapping out front springs for a light spring rate front to help plant the rear harder. Obviously I know a ton of guys just use the factory mags and go plenty fast enough. That being said, has anyone else went down this road and actually found a light spring rate that works with the V and has improved planting the rear tires?

Check out Hobbs, he may be able to fabricate a suspension for you or know who can.

I think you just need to extend the roof to the rear bumper... I find that the stock V suspension can really plant the tires this way. ;)

And yes, that's a crappy low res screen grab from a YouBoob vid.

Curios, why lighter springrip. The front and not rear suspension mods along with tires for grip.

The suspension rabbit hole.
Already on a drag pack.
wanted to test out a light spring up front to help with planting the rear
