The front lower bumper lip has broken loose from the attachment part.( about 3").
I can almost pull it forward enough so it will slip back into place, but I'm afraid if I pull any harder it will break.
Has anyone had this happen?
There is a groove in the top of the piece that came loose that will slip over the attachment part if I can pull it forward enough without it breaking..
Do you think it would help to use a heat gun on the lip to make it a bit more pliable.

Remove the front bumper, repair the issue and reinstall. Removing the bumper is relatively easy.

Need pics to be sure but it sounds like you are talking about the grey piece? There three segments of the grey pieces; each segment has a screw in each end from underneath, plus several plastic 'push button' fasteners. Use a 9/32" (or 7mm) socket to remove the screws, pop out the push-buttons and re-attach the segment.

Thanks for the reply. It is the grey piece. i was looking for the easiest fix, but I'm sure the proper way is to remove it and hopefully put it back into place then reinstall it.

This is what the lip end pieces look like (except not in carbon fiber, natch). If the tabs on the lip are still whole and not broken or the holes pulled through, then the damage is to the actual cover and/or the fasteners may be damaged or missing. There are slots on the cover the tabs slide into and they are probably broken loose. If the tabs are damaged, then the screws and push fasteners are probably still in place. Either should be fixable with a little ingenuity and either epoxy, plastic welding, or replacing the lip itself. If it is just the sharp pointed "hook" end that is loose, I bet the screw is missing/pulled out and it just flexed enough to pull the tab out of the slot. Get you a mirror or raise the car enough to be able to look up from underneath and it'll be easy to see any damage and exactly what you need to do to correct the issue.

my driveway eats these. I'm gonna buy some O.E. ones and throw them in stock. I've learned my lesson about not buying once available parts for my GN

RockAuto had a good deal on the three pieces so I bought them; Now they apparently are selling a one-piece replacement. Haven’t seen one to compare,

amazon has the three piece set for under $100 bucks. I am on my third set since I suck at judging distance.
I would love a front end sensor/camera for front in parking.
