Same here in TX, when ambient hits 104+ I turn off my AC, because shit climbs to 220 and past that soon after, and this is all with aftermarket Rad +fans... If I keep AC off, it's all good, and AITs stay under 115, after meth kicks in, and ECTs are around 192.

I've been reading about Ben's (WeaponX) Boost Freeze chiller. His Data was really promising . (I've been doing research before buying all the parts - just got my V3 a few weeks ago)

BOOST FREEZE CHILLER RESULTS - LT4 ZL1 hits 690 WHP with a 15% pulley !

Update: just noticed this is the V2 section... Sorry, but i guess still good information on Ben's News post.

Engine coolant temp reaches 220?
Yessir. My original dyno tune was in the negatives, back when we had the stupid cold couple of weeks. After that, when summer came, my cooling system couldnt cope with heat no more. Thinking it was a head gasket/head issue, I experimented with different shit, and ended up going with upgraded system, and still the same result, unless I turn AC off..

hows your engine bay setup ? sounds like an airflow issue maby too much air is getting into the engine bay and not enough getting out makes it a high pressure zone, the engine bay needs to be a low pressure zone so high pressure at the front of the radiator can easily flow thru into it and out of the vehicle, high pressure always goes to low pressure the bigger the differential the better the flow

My IAT2 are 158 - 176
Yesterday cruising a 70mph IAT2 was 168
Right not at 9:00pm it's 88 with a like like 99
Laughs in TEXAN

I read this as the last bit of orange slipped from the horizon as the sun went down...it was 98* at that time.

109f here in New Mexico this afternoon! It's a dry heat so it only feels like 107.

I bought a motorcycle that gets 100mpg 2 months ago and haven't driven the V since with the exception of a quick trip to the liquor store.

Killer Chiller is almost local to me and I've thought about adding one but haven't had the nerve to hack into the AC system.

shutting off your AC when it gets hot so your IAT2 are low seems useless
keep the ac running and just take it easy a little bit, drive a little easier.
Ill be dammed if im going to sweat in a car with perfectly operating AC when its 100+ degrees out

Today I recheck my SC fluid, I bleed the system and found it very low in coolant. refilled it for the first time this year. I recheck it again next month to make sure it not leaking, so far so good.

if it was that low may also want to check if it got an air bubble. Dont know if you have a tank and or a gauge that tells you IAT2's but pop the hood once in a while while its running and hot and make sure its circulating

when its really hot out I feel like im punishing the car getting on it. May do a smooth highway run but stop and go with high IAT2 no thanks. Ill just take it easy and let it relax a bit

Ok, I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way.

I feel like I treat mine like a princess, but I know she can handle being treated like a slut.
