I would find out where they tied into power for the wideband ? Could be a feedback issue , try finding a different power source or add a diode.
Should also mention that they have disconnected the AFR gauges and still have same problem.Having a problem! Took my ’17 V3 to a local shop to have plugs and wires, changed and add AFR gauges. Shop had to weld bung outlets on exhaust (with pipes off) and disconnected battery for an extended time while doing the welds and running wires. Problem is car cranks up fine, but when you push the button to turn off, the electronics turn off, but the engine keeps running and they have to remove a relay in the fuse block to shut it down. They have replace that relay, but still have the same problem. Anybody have a clue or is the car just possessed now? Car is modified 880 rwhp on 93. Driven 3000+ miles before this problem started.
Which relay are they removing ?Should also mention that they have disconnected the AFR gauges and still have same problem.
Probably on a Mustang dyno...they always read high. This shop made 880 on 93? No meth and it lives?
This. The ECM shuts off when power is removed. Something they wired is backfeeding the ECM with power from the battery so when everything else shuts down the ECM keeps going.Could be a feedback issue , try finding a different power source or add a diode.
So what's the latest?Having a problem! Took my ’17 V3 to a local shop to have plugs and wires, changed and add AFR gauges. Yeah, it's confusing, totally agree. I offered help in case he was just trying to better understand the situation with little effort/risk. It's nice to have shops fix their own mistakes, but at what cost? If they botched this, not really sure I would allow them the opportunity to cause more damage. Another shop is definitely at the top of the list for consideration! So, I don't mean to be rude, but is the same shop that said 880 to the tire.... If not fighting now to shut the motor down? It could also be a crossed wire, anything but the shop should be dealing with it..
This seems like a red flag...
