Here's the event info:

Here's why this is relevant to V owners. The Detroit Cadillac V Club got accepted as one of the featured car clubs. They gave us 10 parking spots in the featured car club area and 2 free tickets to the festivities shown in the link above per car. Tickets are normally $20 each. So, great free parking and 2 free tickets if you are planning on attending this even anyway, or just want to since it would be free. I didn't fill the spots with club members so I'm looking for other Vs that might want to join us. If you're interested I need your name and car year, make, model to add to the list I give to the organizers. They'll email me stuff and I'll distribute it to the attendees from there.

Sounds like a great event. Too far for me, coming from Florida, but if I was within a day drive, I'd go.

Yeah, Florida is a bit far, but I'm pretty sure Pebble Beach is a better Concours event than we have here so you've got that going for you. It is kind of cool that with Haggerty taking over they've put everything in Detroit and made a big weekend out of it with a bunch of events beyond just the Concours.

Going to be nuts in Detroit that weekend. Concourse, NAIAS, Lions game, 3 Tigers games, and I'm sure there's more!

The Hagerty people gave me a new deadline. I have until September 10 to give them the list of attendees now. If anyone else is interested let me know. But now you have a chance to wait until closer to the event and decide you don't have anything else going on, haha.

Damn, if I still lived in Toledo I'd be there. Fortunately I live near Amelia! But I'm still a diehard Tigers and Red Wings fan.

Can't believe you still have openings! I'm curious to see how the new venue compares to the previous location and what display/spectator turnout will be.

I wasn't really a fan of the Inn and St John. Meadowbrook was a great venue for Concours stuff but they didn't have any other events with it back then, at least that I'm aware of. They had the cruise in at the Inn during the week, always did like that event.

I haven't been to RADwood before but that was always downtown I think, right?

Not being able to get 10 V Owners to come for free with a guest wouldn't seem to bode well for their attendance at $20 a ticket though would it?
Never been to Redwood so IDK about that. You're right about attendance, but maybe they're counting on all the other area events to drive additional traffic.

How was the show? Any pics? Had to choose between NAIAS or Concours Sunday. Chose NAIAS. I'm pretty sure I made a mistake.

Unless you were looking at Chrysler/Ford/GM displays, it was pretty pathetic. They had 3 different ride-along courses set up INSIDE the main hall for Ram, Jeep, and Ford and STILL had a bunch of unused space! Nothing in the lower level at all. GM and VW did have drive/ride stuff outside on the public roads so I drove a Bolt and rode in a C8 Z06. I hope it improves next year.

Pic from the back of the hall looking towards center.

I skipped NAIAS altogether. The Cars and Community event was solid though. RADwood had lots of cool stuff The S7ampede thing kind of continued into it so there was a big group of Mustangs and some stuff Ford brought including the new one. The featured car clubs were just our Vs and an import club.

I didn't take a ton of pics. What I took are in this album: Facebook
