CTS V windshield question

Hey guys and gals, so today while I was looking at my 12 V sedan I noticed that the top of the windshield doesn’t appear to have a seal it just has this gap in the gap has a rubber seal but it’s not flush to the roof line and windshield top if that makes sense so it makes like a mini valley area.

can you guys let me know if this is normal by checking your Vs. It’s the top of the windshield where it meets the roof. Not seeing any part in the GM catalog .

Without going out to look at my '14, I'm gonna say "normal". I think I recollect looking at this myself at one time. But I've had the car for 9 years now so the recollection is a bit foggy.
Yes I wondered this in the past. Mine looks the same.

Agree with this statement.
Looks like mine as well.
seems like all cars today have this gap, no one wants trim and it makes install easier

makes painting that panel a pain in the dick tho

3m back masking tape is the easy way to pull the seal back, but it still is tight to get base/clear down in there.
No trim to pull back
