I am looking for a cooling system part for a 2011 Cadillac CTS V Coupe. I cannot find the part on any engine diagram on the web. It is located near the oil fill cap. I have attached a picture of the part, circled with an arrow pointing to the failed plastic elbow. The elbow includes some sort of in-line valve (?) that connects to a steel line. The steel line goes into the engine or head base and is held in place with a bolted bracket. I do not know the function of the valve, or even if it is a valve.

Hopefully this will help identify the part. Your help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your reply. If 20 connects to a steel tube it is, indeed, what I need. I will follow up and see if I can locate the part from the part number.

That is IT!!!!!!!!. You nailed it. Thank you so very much. None of the diagrams that I could locate showed the part. I will soon be back on the road.

My elbow broke as well since they seem to start cracking over time. A quick fix is to plug the coolant hose directly over the steel tube and tighten it with a hose clamp. That works well as a temporary solution.

Theres 2 options. 1st is the one i went through. Look up radiator surge tank inlet hose. Thats what i bought cuz my connector busted too.

with that said, you might be lucky to find the connector itself. I thinkkk i posted it somewhere in a thread but ill have to look but there you go

Honestly, im not too sure what steam kit does. I looked at it when i had to do my coolant lines but it confused me cuz im still newer to working on things, especially this application. But i know, 10000% from doing it 1.5 months ago, the 2 parts i posted are exact fit. They 1st link is the set of connects and the hoses are preassembled. The 2nd is just the connector for that exact spot

I'd be very interested in seeing your install. Any photos you'd care to share? I've been looking at the Motion kit.

Did you "unplug" the rear steam vent ports? I'm curious how you routed the hoses.
