Hello everyone. Long time reader. First time poster. Got a 2009 sedan and noticed coolant smell lately and realize I have a very small leak and tracked it down to some connection near the top of the engine by the oil... obviously I’m not a mechanic but I’m handy and was wondering how complicated this fix would be? And also what is this called 🙂 lol

Very common, and simple fix.

Remove plastic connector from the steel tube.

Cut rubber hose behind plastic connector.

Use a worm gear style hose clamp to reattach rubber hose to steel tube.

Sounds easy enough. Didn’t look like it would be a big deal. Was hoping anyways 🙂
So what’s this part called? And is it something I can find at auto zone or general parts store?

SO Called thé dealer and i couldn’t give him the exact name of what I needed and he made I to sound like I had to buy the full radiator hose assembly for $170. I’ll have to maybe drive over there I guess to see if I can get whst I need without the whole assembly
