Has anyone tried ceramic coating their wheels? I use CarPro C Quartz on all my cars and the stuff is awesome. I just didn't know if your could put them on wheels too?

I had some brand new wheels for my GT500 a couple years ago and applied 5-6 coats of cermic coating for wheels. It did make it easy to clean or wipe off. Power washing the wheels made it quick and easy too. Didnt not prevent it from minor rag scratches though. Had it like that for a year and half before selling the car. I've had another set on my truck ceramic coated with just two coats and it wasnt as good as doing the multiple coats. Of course I did this myself and for $50.

Awesome info thanks! How long did you wait between coats? I’ll probably do the same and put on like 5 coats.
What is the purpose for why you are interested in ceramic coating your wheels? I got my wheels powder coated gloss black last year and they ceramic coated them afterward. I had that done hoping that it would help to make it easier to clean and found that it doesn’t help for that purpose. Although, maybe it would be easier if I was always on top of cleaning the wheels.
Well I ceramic coat all my cars and it makes cleaning them 20x easier than normal. I literally rinse the car off with a hose and reapply the hydrophobic spray and it stays super clean so I figured it would make cleaning the wheels easier. I just bought a pair if Weld S71's for the rear and they weren't cheap so I figured I'd try to keep them as mint as possible.
@Chokeu that’s an interesting idea. I’m going to try that. What brand of spray are you using?
Ceramic Coating: C Quartz UK 3.0
Car Wash: CarPro Reset
Ceramic Coat Sealant: CarPro Reload
CarPro makes C Quartz so they recommend using Reset for washing with their product. I like it because it only takes. 1.3 oz of product to 5 gal of water so I use like a half cap full to 2 gal of water. This bottle will last forever. After washing, I shammy dry the car and apply the Reload sealant, just spray and buff on them wait a few minutes and buff off. After that your car is smooth as glass and nothing can stick to it. The worst bird shit doesn’t stand a chance. A simple spray with the hose and everything comes right off.
Detailer did my factory rims when they did my V and it does help with washing. It's not a miracle cure but certainly less work involved in getting the brake dust off now.

I think 2 or 3 days. Luckily it was a new set so was waiting on tires to come in. I did the face and the barrel. Some say though that its best to get the tires mounted and balanced, then do the coating that way you go around the weights. Thats to ensure they stick well.

I have used the Ceramic Pro coating on my factory wheels and it definitely makes cleaning the brake dust easier. The stuff is expensive but the plan is to only apply every few years.

2 years ago before I swapped off my all seasons I experimented and did 2 wheels only, one front one back, besides the water beading I noticed no difference in ease of cleaning.
When you ceramic coat your car it says curing for 24 hours one person said don’t drive it keep in garage or does that mean don’t get it wet
It means don’t get it wet. Coating the wheels works wonders. Read the instructions, most of the time it’s only and hour or two between costs.

I did mine a few days before I mounted them and had left them in my shop the entire time.
