Center console

Can anyone confirm that the sedan center console lid (arm rest) will fit in a coupe? Mine does not latch when closed. The lids on ebay are kind've pricey so I thought I could go to a u-pull junk yard to see if i can find a decent one, and Im almost certain ill stumble upon more sedans than coupes. Also, would it make a difference if i pulled a lid from a non-v? I watched a quick youtube video of a review on a 09 sedan non-v and they looked identical. Thanks in advance.
