BTW our friend and host Cal Hartline isn't running because he smacked the wall. Had a good run going with new engine and something in rear end locked sent him bouncing into the right hand lane retaining wall.
I texted him last night and he did say he is okay.
Looking at the video; it looked very similar to a right rear axle breaking,
sending him into the right side wall. Then after he smacked the wall
the car looked like the throttle was stuck open as it made a kind of
'Loop de Loop'.
That frightened me for a moment, but I guess the moves the car
made after first striking the wall, was just from the kinetic energy
stored in the car.
It was a great event. My first year attending. I will definately go again. Cal,Jake,Holly and the Hartline crew are awesome people. Despite Cal's accident he still finished tuning my car. Also met some great people there. Great event thank you to Hartline and all the other sponsers.
