Ok i checked the wheel spoke spacing between the front calipers and back of original 99 c5 spokes is about 1" so 14-16mm off set would put the spokes close unless the newer style wheels have more clearance for bigger brakes. This is for a 99 c5 corvette usually 54-56mm offset but because of the tire rack sale price of c7 zr1 wheels in black for 131$ each 18x9.5" 40mm offset and c7 z06 wheels for 170$ in gloss black. Not so sure how close they'd be to the brakes on the front. The corvette forum didnt have much information to offer why i asked here i figured they ran corvette wheels as well replicas but yes the back of the spoke is 1" from the front calipers on a 99 c5 thats with stock offset. Depending if the later style wheels have thinner spokes for more brakes clearance. Its just a good deal on 18x9.5" in either c7 zr1 or c7 z06. They sell 20mm spacers that bolt directly to the hub for c5 for 50$ a pair 20mm so would make room but that adds about 25$ per wheel. The top photo is of ebays 17/18 staggered c5 c7 zr1 set. Im trying to find a front replica wheel set to match the rear z06 c5s.

Does anyone know where to find the bolted black silver lip c5 z06 or c6 z06 wheels? OE replica said they discontinued wheels 4 years ago. I really do like the look of the c7 zr1 z06 wheels. The correct wheels 17x8.5 same as stock c5 front wheels are 237$ each the 18x9.5" 40mm offset are on sale or closeout for 170$ roughly so i guess a 50$ set of spacers would work but i seen better information over here in regards to finding the bolted c6 z06 black wheels with silver lip. Yes my main concern was i seen alot of ctsvs with spider wheels or z06 wheels when i was searching thru google for certain wheels what brought me to the forum. Was just curious if anyone had used the 18x9.5" +40mm offset not sure if theyd clear the front or not the corvette forum didnt have much of a response. So that means im not allowed to post?
I found a place that has the wheels im looking for but when i called said i had the wrong number has anyone done business with this place reprowheelstore.com

Another concern was if anyone had used the 50$ ebay wheel spacers +20mm offset that bolt directly to the hub? The corvette forum didn't help me much when i asked about the +40mm offset the wheels themself look nice.

I had those exact wheels on my 02Z06, they were called "Motosport" I think. Sold 'em with the car three years ago. They had not held up well over the ~15 years they were on the car. The new owner refinished them, though. Compared to the stock wheels they weren't very good, much heavier. But I needed a slightly wider rim so I could mount 305s on the back of the car to give my Vortech a little more grip.

Yes you think it was the wheel replica maker or brand that maybe the wheels werent as good? Was it the finish or structure? Im thinking of some oe replica c6 zr1 or c7 z06 wheels? You think these wheels will end up being junk as well.

Yeah i found the bolted c5/c6 z06 wheels? Which brand are you referring to and what wheels the c5 z06 or c6 z06 bolted black wheels? I see they make different factory reproduction brands. Not sure which is best. Oe replica is sold by jegs for a decent price. I may just get 18x8.5 zr1 wheels for upfront if not the c7 z06 wheels or stingray/spider wheels. Just need something that looks better then stock rims.

The wheels were fine structurally. The extra weight wasn't wasted. But the first set I bought were all chrome and the chrome was poorly applied. It corroded and flaked away. And what's worse, it corroded under the bead, so my tires started to leak air. I had to take the rubber off and wire-brush the bead seat area. When I got fed up with the flaking chrome, I bought a set of the black ones, like in your picture, thinking that surely that would be better. But a similar problem ensued. I don't remember if they were enamel, epoxy or powder coated, but it was done poorly.

yeah i had a set of chrome 18x10.5 and 17x9.5 z06 wheels oe replicas on my 95 z28 in 2008 and the chrome was already pitted but not too much. Im not sure does anyone use flow one f2 wheels theyre roughly 20lbs the f4s and 250$ or around the same price as the c7 z06 or z6 zr1 or replicas? The c7 z06 moto sport from tire rack are 170$ with +40mm offset or c7 zr1 for 131$ but would need the 50$ ebay 20mm bolt on spacers. It would work but youre saying the tire rack brand wheels were bad paint quality or oe replica. The lug nuts would be tucked in further and may look strange compared to a flat wheel. However flow one f2 and f4 are 231$ for the f4 and 250$ for the f2 are they any better?
