Sounds like you need to bleed the system.

A PITA if you get a bubble in the ABS unit.

if you opened the lines you get air bubbles. Try a scanner that lets you bleed the ABS unit. Unit is far up on the passenger side. I use DOT 3 Ford High Performance Brake Fluid. The ABS unit likes the stuff. stay away from synthetic fluid as it messes with the ABS.
