A New aftermarket set to be sure there are no pits or spider cracks. Perfect looking headlights can really make it look good. I will take the lenses off and probably discard the rest

Is that satin or gloss black? I think I'm beginning to prefer this over the flatter plastidip look the more I stare at it.

The amber reflector is wrapped in a 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber to be exact. I exchanged my yellow bulbs for a nice cool white LED bulb utilizing CREE LEDs. Worth it.

I have done about a dozen sets, and each one that I have blackout out I left the light there, but unplugged it. It’s not hurting anything leaving it that way.

This is an awesome write-up and good info as well from others.

I'll most likely be doing mine in a few weeks. Paint the chrome a gloss black, add red halo's, and leave the side amber light disconnected (also have ambler lens blacked out). Also wet sanding the outer clear lens to freshen it up. Got my weekend all planned out now! lol

Never mind, figured it out. Small Plastic white clip has to slide off first..
