I’ve had their oem replacement air shocks in rear of my GMC for years and they seem like high quality and gave lifetime warranty. Their website isn’t clear on warranty… some places say lifetime on “struts and shocks” and other place “air shocks and air struts”. US company.

It looks like if you special order them through O'Reilly Auto it comes with a lifetime warranty that O'Reilly will have to deal with instead of going through the company themselves.

I used to work there back in the day and if you have any problems at all with warranty just call the corporate line on the front door. They once called my store after I told a guy I wouldn't be doing a warranty exchange on parts that weren't ours, and an agent called the store and demanded I warranty out brake rotors that some guy bought at NAPA 8 years ago with a NAPA receipt and everything.

I have reached out via chat on Arnott's website and verified that these shocks have a limited lifetime warranty just like the rest of their products.
The language doesn't say anything about magnetic shocks but the agent said it applied there as well. In case they try to use the specific language below to get out of a warranty I sent to chat transcript to my email.

"Arnott LLC® offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty for United States and Canada on Arnott branded Air Springs, Air Struts, Compressors, Coil Spring Conversion Kits and Arnott branded Adjustable Motorcycle Suspension Kits. Orders for Arnott branded products outside of the United States and Canada (i.e., the European Union, Mexico, and the rest of the world) come with a Limited Two-Year Warranty. Arnott offers a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee and a 90-Day Return Policy on unused and uninstalled products. Arnott offers a 30-Day Warranty on parts used in commercial vehicles. Improper use or installation is not a manufacturer's defect and is not covered by the warranty. The Arnott Warranty is non-transferable."

This warranty statement is very specific. None of these things are magnetorheological shock absorbers. It would not be applicable to the MagRide shocks. These things are usually written to be specific specifically because they want to exclude some items from warranty coverage. The chat transcript would not, I believe, constitute proof that they agreed to a warranty, if you submit a claim and they decline it. They could easily just say "that employee was not authorized to extend warranty coverage to these parts" and you're done unless you're willing to pursue it legally, which would unquestionably cost a lot more than the shocks originally did with no guarantee of success.

Especially for shocks, which like tires and belts and brake pads and clutch disks are considered "consumable" items subject to wear out and failure in the normal course of use.
