Hey Guys,

So of course new to site, tried researching and no luck finding a 60k maintenance thread. I know the Car manual has recommended maintenance, but i would like to know what do you guys recommended. Please keep in Mind, that I do plan on modding the car. So do i change the maintenance parts to performance parts? I just bought this car with 54K miles, so i have no history if the car was maintained correctly, so i would like to be sure and safe.

Would you Recommend:

- Change plugs/wires
- Fuel filter
- Air filter
- Check coolant
- Change tranny fluid
- Change rear end fluid
- Change brake/clutch fluid
- Change power steering fluid

??? Anything else ???

Not applicable.

Should be checking that before 60K miles.


- Check coolant
Sure, check away. Replace at 100K, then every year.


- Change tranny fluid
I had mine checked (A6) at nearly 80K, by 2 dealers, and they both said 'not required' YMMV


- Change rear end fluid
Should have changed this long before 60K. Do it. Do it regularly (30K at least)


- Change brake/clutch fluid
Every 30K at least.


- Change power steering fluid
Every 30K at least.


Routine maintenance would also be checking belts, lubrication points, suspension checks... and on this car, depending on conditions, cleaning the radiator fins might be warranted (I get alot of debris in/on the coolers, radiator, condenser).

X2 If you cranking up da boost take care of them plugs... Going to change mine yearly to every six months depending on how much a player sprays.
