Was looking at their axleback or catback, but I dont want to sawzall stuff if I dont need to. 1200 bucks is tempting tho. I want to keep the dual mode exhaust. I'm looking at either Borla or SW for around 2K as BB and the magnaflow with CF tips approach 3K.

I want something a tad more aggressive sounding but also dont want drone on the freeway. Anybody have recommendations or even better, videos? I am not planning on doing headers or catless pipes.

I had the SW axle back on an otherwise stock exhaust. I liked the sound a lot but it did drone at highway speeds (70+) and when AFM engaged, terrible. I've since done headers, etc and paired it back to the factory suitcase muffler. Pretty perfect now.

Man I'd love if someone local here has headers with the stock exhaust. I still have mine and would like to hear it before I spend the time and money to off the Borla.

Don't do SW cat-back. I had axle-back with an otherwise stock exhaust, and it was perfect. Moved up to a cat-back, and it's too loud, with moderate drone in the 2500rpm range. If I could go back to the axle, I would.

SW is careful in their comments in advertising the system. They say one decibel greater with the axleback at like 60 mph. This is the case and no drone at 60 but we know how fast we go on the highway.

Drone with the exhaust open or also droned in touring mode?

SO you were happy with the axleback? I am wondering of the drone people are complaing about is in track mode or also touring mode?

Stainless Works sounds way better than a borla in my opinion and the quality and fit and finish is very good. I've been running a complete stainless work system for over 2 years headers back to my stock tips with high flow cats. Great system!

Ill go ahead and bump this again since I'm still on the fence with the SW axleback. Do you V3 guys find the louder exhaust drowns out the blower whine? I have a rotofab on the way to hear is a little more.

I like the SW axle back on the V3s. One of the best sounding. We have the performance connect in stock and can order the factory connect version.

I hava LT headers with no cats to the stock factory exhaust, it sounds perfect. On Tour mode, its like stock when crusing highway speeds. Sadly my valves are not working now so Im thinking of getting a C7 stock muffler.

Maybe I’m deaf but I run arh headers w/ sw cat back and can hardly hear it around 70-80 on highway 🤷‍♂️
This was the best combo on my C6 but I really dont feel like messing with headers on this car yet.
