So I got in my V today and noticed a headliner stain..Damn.. I was so excited when I got it that there were no plugged drains. I figured today was as good as any to do some maintenance. I would fix the package tray rattle that has been driving me bananas and clear the drains/clean the headliner. When I pulled the rear seat I found that the 10mm combo and the 6 of hearts had ran off together despite what all others had said. They were in love and they were meant to be together,

I'm still in the red by a dozen or so tools. there was also a half a bag of dusty ole jelly beans in there as well. They must have been hungry.

I have a new suggestion for potential/new owners.......FIX THE RATTLES!!!! It's like driving a different car.

Is that to stop a rattle? Thinking a small wood or plastic shim be better?

that may have been with the previous owner used but not me. I learned years ago to use butyl watershield and self adhesive foam, some people claim it gases out. But I've never noticed.

Not V related but somewhat related story.

Many years ago when I had an Acura TL and my kids were little in car seats.

All of a sudden I was hearing this sound like something was rolling every time I accelerated or braked. Nothing in the armrest, map pockets, glove compartment.

It was driving me nuts! I was ready to tear the car apart.

Then one day while I was vacuuming out the car I happened to look under the passenger seat and something caught my eye. It looked like there was something in the HVAC vent (under the seat). Sure enough it was one of my kids’ pencils that made its way in the vent and was rolling around in there.

Another story....

In the mornings if I was driving without the radio on, I would hear this really faint beep. Almost like a watch alarm. Happened around the same time, but like I said. Very faint.

Looked every where. Under the seats, in between the seat cushions, map pockets. Again. Driving me crazy.

One day I happened to be messing with the carpet under the driver seat and I found one of those kiddie watches that my kids got at some party.

Apparently some alarm was set and they dropped it and it made its way under the seat and under the carpeting.

awesome. I'll give up my brothers story. Worth remembering if your a spiteful kind of person.

When he was at community college a million years ago he commuted in a escort gt. The car progressively smelt worse and worse like rotten fish(as most fords do). Being the refer head that he was, ignored it until he could hold forth no longer and my father with his help took the whole interior out of the car. Revealing a secret tuna can that had been triangular punched open and wedged between the springs and the foam to avoid detection. Never to smell the same again and to this day he has no idea who or why.

Maybe the last owner went to change the battery and got so excited when he found the tool less terminals he chucked his 10mm figuring he'd never need it ever again.

I had purchased a used Charger Hellcat in late 2019. As I do with every used car purchased, I cleaned the inside up as I were covering up a murder scene. I even went as far as to pull the back seat off and low and behold I find a half dozen .32 caliber bullets and a handful of empty shell casings. I can somewhat dismiss the bullets but the empty .32 shell casings?

I started wondering if the previous owner used this car for a drive by. So after I finished going through the interior with a fine tooth comb I went through the trunk and what do I find....more .32 caliber bullets, more empty shell and old dried up dog food.

Why there would be empty fired shell casing under the back seat and under the trunk carpet is beyond me and why anyone would even own a .32 caliber pistol is even harder for me to wrap my head around.

Might have been some gang banger and the dog food was for his pit bull.
