My diff was groaning on turns, not sure what fluid was in it or when it was changed (if ever). Local shop put Amsoil fluid and Amsoil friction modifier in about a year ago. After the fluid change, I had to do about 8-10 tight circles in each direction in a parking lot to work the new fluid into the diff and it's been silent since then.
The noise sounds like its coming from the drivers side rear wheel. I did some searching and fount a TSB 09-04-95-001D that talks about adding a washer to the rear CV shafts, but I have not found a clear discription on where this goes? The part number for the washer shows its just a GM axle nut...
Whats the difference base (v6) cts ring and pinion or diff and the V’s?
Mine is an m6 so i have 3.73 ratio and its whining, i want to know if i can swap the ring and pinion with the v6 one since no one makes full rebuild kits for these cars.
